Iron’s undefeated streak on the line in Big 12 showdown

Community’s undefeated girls basketball team’s 18-game win streak is on the line when the Iron host Peoria Notre Dame (16-1) in a battle of two of the Big 12’s best Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

The Irish are looking to repeat history after handing Community its first loss last season, putting a stop to the Iron’s 8-0 start with a 56-23 victory.

Community is looking to make history, after earning Intercity and State Farm Holiday Classic titles, next in line for the Iron could be the Big 12 Conference title.

The Iron are 4-0 in conference play, one of four Big 12 team’s undefeated in conference action–Richwoods (3-0), Peoria High (3-0) and Peoria Notre Dame (3-0).
