Schneringer out indefinitely

The Lady Iron basketball team suffered two losses this past Saturday, December 15. The girls lost to Brea Beal and the Rock Island Rocks in the final seconds of a tightly contested game, the final score being 54-52.

The Lady Iron also lost Kylee Schneringer, who exited the game with 11 points after dislocating her right shoulder. The seriousness of the injury is unknown, and there is no timeline set up for the UAB commit to return.

This is the second shoulder injury for the player this year. Schneringer suffered a dislocated left shoulder as well as a torn labrum this past offseason, forcing her to sit out for around 6 months.

The girls expect to stay competitive in her absence, with other players filling Schneringer’s role as the second leading scorer.

The team traveled to Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday to compete in the Nike Tournament of Champions, where they have gone 1-1. They will face Hamilton High School of Chandler, Arizona later today.
