Bird brained: The Inkspot puts Mr. Kevin Suess’ bird knowledge to the test [video]

The Inkspot quizzed Community’s resident ornithologist, Mr. Kevin Suess, on all things avian in honor of April 26’s National Audubon Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of birds and the importance of preserving their habitats.

The holiday recognizes the work of John James Audubon, the American ornithologist, naturalist and painter who spent his life studying, cataloging and illustrating the birds of North America.

Suess shares that same passion for birding; it has taken him across the country and globe, all the way to the Arctic Circle.

But will the social studies teacher’s avian adventures be enough to help him soar through this two-part quiz?

Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just a curious observer, tune in as we test Suess’ knowledge of bird calls and bird trivia in part one and see how much our flock of bird pop culture questions ruffled Suess’ feathers in part two.
