The newest addictive word game: Ruzzle

If you enjoy playing Scrabble, or other word games in general, then you need to join the other millions of players and try Ruzzle; a game that allows you to play against your friends in a fast paced setting. Ruzzle is all about finding word combinations and racing the clock with scrambled letters to win against your opponent, to see who can find the most words in two minutes.

When you start the game, a board appears on your screen. The objective is to find as many words as you can by swiping your finger across the screen. The letters you form may be as short or long as you would like, but you have to make sure they are all connected. The sound and animations make the game even more fun. Whenever you get a word right, there is a dinging noise that you will hear. When it comes to the animations, the words light up when a word is correct.

What makes this game intense are the interactions with your Facebook and Twitter friends, which allows users can play against their actual friends and family. You have the chance to find out which of your friends have a wide ranged vocabulary list or are just good at making up words on the spot.  You can also play with random opponents if you click the button “Find Opponent”. This option finds someone also looking for a random opponent to play against. No matter who play, this game is addicting once you play it a couple times.

Along with the fun and entertaining aspect of this game, it is also educational. You may get words that you have not heard before. This game will broaden your vocabulary. You stumble upon new words each time you play. You could get lucky by swiping your finger randomly to see if you can get any extra words in the last few seconds.

This game is available in the app store and is commonly played on iPhones and iPods.
