Publication Overview
The Inkspot is the official student-run and student-produced news publication of Normal Community High School, a four-year secondary school with an enrollment of over 2100 students and 180 staff members serving the Bloomington-Normal Community.

The Inkspot is a multi-platform news outlet: the staff publishes multimedia content multiple times a week at NCHSinkspot.com; livestreaming coverage of athletic and school events.

The award-winning publication has an active social media presence on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and YouTube at the handle of @NCHSinkspot.

Advertising Revenue
Advertising revenue helps to support the journalism education process at Normal Community High School. Ad revenue is used to cover reoccurring costs such as: attending local and national journalism competitions and conventions; purchasing and maintaining equipment; covering the cost of web-hosting and the printing cost of the newspaper.

Since the Journalism program is self-funded, this money allows students to compete in the IHSA Sectional and State tournaments–where, in 2023, three students medaled, showing their talent as some of the best student journalists in Illinois.

Circulation & Audience Reach
In the last year, NCHSinkspot.com reached over 17,000 unique viewers and over 127,000 page views.
The Inkspot social media accounts directly reach is just shy of 3,000 subscribers/followers daily.

DIGITAL ADS

The following are advertising options for the Inkspot’s live sports broadcasts.

Commercial Sponsor (per season, included in each broadcast) – $100

• Image, tagline, contact info will be displayed during commercial breaks of livestreaming events.
• a minumum of two live ad reads per broadcast

Scoring Sponsor (per season) – $300

• Logo and sponsorship read with each indicated action (touchdown, interception, dunk, etc.)
• Image, tagline, contact info will be displayed during commercial breaks of livestreaming events.
• Minimum of 1 live read of ad copy per broadcast

Presenting Sponsor (per game, one broadcast) – $100

• Presenting sponsor indicated with logo and tagline at open/close of broadcast and quarter/half breaks
