Community’s lone conference loss came on Jan. 9, falling to Richwoods 44-41. The Ironmen, without Marco Reynolds in the final minutes, struggled against the Knights’ size advantage in the defeat.

With a 4-1 Big 12 record, the Ironmen girls basketball team sits behind undefeated Bloomington (6-0) and Peoria Notre Dame (5-0) in the conference standings.

The Ironmen host the PND Irish tomorrow in a critical matchup that could shake up the title race.

The Inkspot’s Bella Green caught up with Community head coach Mr. Dave Feeney to hear his thoughts on the Big 12 ahead of the contest with the Irish.

I like watching basketball, specifically my favorite teams such as the Boston Celtics and South Carolina Gamecocks. In my free time, I enjoy finding new and obscure series and movies. I am inspired by Dawn Staley and her poise as a leader.

Maddie is a senior at Community; she is on the girls lacrosse team and is involved in the choir program. She is a senior staff reporter for the Inkspot. On the weekend, I enjoy spending time with friends. My all-time dream is to travel the world. My biggest pet peeves are stopping in the middle of hallways and rude people.
