Week 7 victory over the Vikings: By the numbers
Ironmen clinch playoff berth with win over Danville

Pajama night was a fitting theme for the Dick Tharp Field student section on Friday, with the Ironmen putting the game against the Danville Vikings to bed early with a decisive 71-12 victory.

With the win, the Iron improved to 6-1 and clinched a spot in the 7A IHSA playoffs

This year’s playoff appearance will mark the 28th straight year the Ironmen have qualified for the postseason.

The accomplishment, head coach Mr. Jason Drengwitz, said is “pretty special,” and something that he and the coaching staff hope the Ironmen players don’t  “take for granted.”

Friday marked another milestone for Drengwitz, as the Iron’s 71 points is the team’s scoring high with him at the helm.

Dive into a breakdown of the game’s stats and take a look at the playmakers that propelled Community to victory in this week’s “By the Numbers” package.
