NCHS students have stepped up to play a major role in the Twin Cities. Every year, the Interact Club seeks out charitable opportunities to benefit the community.  The club’s “Service Over Self” motto motivates it’s members to stay actively involved in the world. The club is an important one offered at NCHS because of its aim to maintain a positive atmosphere in and outside of school.

Interact Club member, Brooke Zadoks(11), has described the club as a “student equivalent to a rotary club.”  The club focuses on voluntary community services, just as a rotary club does, but is at the student level.  Interact Club has previously participated in helping with tutoring at Western Avenue, volunteering at the Buddy Walk, visiting local nursing homes, and other similar events.  Within NCHS itself, the program’s students host an “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” during lunch hours twice a month to raise money for cancer research.  Students receive a glass of lemonade when they donate to the cause at the stand.

All students are welcome to join the club and can start by attending an Interact Club meeting.  Students in Interact Club can sign up for specific activities and times to volunteer at certain events.
