Stick it to Bollmann

Principal Bollmann decided to surrender his dignity for fundraising. On December 14th, Mr. Bollmann let students duct tape him to the wall on the outside of the elevator in the atrium during the lunch periods in order to raise money for After Prom. Students paid $1 for a foot of tape or $5 for six feet. Everything below his shoulders was fair game to get taped to the wall.

The idea originally came from the parent of a junior class board member. Mr. Bollmann said that he was on board as soon as he heard about it. He could only think of one potential problem. “I doubt there’s enough tape in all of Bloomington-Normal to keep me stuck!” he joked.

When asked how he was going to top this stunt next year, he just managed to say, “I don’t know” amid hearty laughs.

Saaud Zuberi, News Desk
Saaud Zuberi (Saaud rhymes with loud, Zuberi is pronounced like zoo berry) is a NCHS junior. Mr. Zuberi is a really nice person. He has to be nice; he’s Canadian. Well, he was at least born in Canada, but was raised in London. London is a small town in Kentucky. Saaud moved to Normal before third grade. His life is hard, but it’s pretty fun too. In fact, it’s more fun than a snake dosey-doeing with a monkey in a fish barrel full of greased pigs. He recently learned how to use semicolons; he enjoys them very much.
