Multiple Google services and applications began experiencing a significant outage early Monday morning, with users encountering error messages when attempting to access the affected services.
The platforms — including Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Drive, YouTube, Google Meets, and Docs — are applications Unit 5 relies on to conduct remote learning.
DownDetector indicates that the outage appears to be widespread, with countries worldwide reporting outages beginning at approximately 5:30 a.m. C.T.
According to the Google Service Status dashboard, “Classroom service has already been restored for some users” as of 6:31 a.m.” and Google expected “a resolution for all users in the near future.”
This is a developing story.
