Class of 2013 celebrates with a flash mob

Graduates of 2013 participated in a flash mob at the end of their commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18. The new graduates, diplomas in hands, lightened the mood by coordinating a dance for their teary-eyed friends and families.

The dance was originally choreographed by Senior Class Board members and was taught to the senior class during the graduation rehearsal four weeks prior.

Senior board then uploaded and shared a video explaining and showing the flash mob dance so any one who wasn’t present at the rehearsal or wanting to brush up on their dance skills could watch it to their heart’s content. However, the flash mob was designed to remain a flash mob, a surprise. So the video was uploaded to a website needing a username and password to be viewed.

The flash mob music was put together by our own Mr. Robinson, who included songs such as “Dirty Bit” and “Don’t You Forget About Me.”

The flash mob was meant to be a celebratory surprise for surrounding loved ones and an end of the year hurrah.
