Be a Hero Day, started by The Heroes Embracing Autistic Lives (H.E.A.L) Foundation was held on April 6, 2019 at the Illinois State University Alumni Center.
At the Be a Hero day there was a silent auction, photo booth, balloon artist, face painter, carnival games and a meal.
The event featured games tic-tac-toe, basketball and ring toss.
Spider-man, Wolverine, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther and Wonder Woman made an appearance.
All money raised from the silent auction is devoted to the Hero Awards the following year.
