Where’s the school spirit?

Excited students cheering at the annual homecoming pep rally.

As every NCHS student knows, it’s a tradition to dress in school colors on Fridays. This custom stands for our support of our football teams that usually have games on Fridays and Saturdays. It becomes habitual for students to wear orange and black on Fridays throughout September and October, yet the habit ends with the football season.

Don’t the other athletes of NCHS deserve our recognition and support throughout the season of their sport? We have a variety of athletics, ranging from tennis and golf to track and basketball.

We as Normal Community students should take the initiative to support our teams! Let our athletes of all kinds know that we are proud of their hard work by attending their games and sporting our school colors year round! We are a family, we are a community, and we are Ironmen.

IF YOU SHARE THE INKSPOT'S PASSION for empowering Normal Community's aspiring journalists and equipping them with viable and valuable digital media skills, please consider contributing to our cause.
Your support plays a vital role in enabling the Inkspot to invest in top-tier equipment, maintain memberships in distinguished professional organizations such as the Journalism Education Association and National Scholastic Press Association, send our students to compete at state and national contests, and attend the National High School Journalism Convention.
Your generosity is the key to providing these students with a truly enriching educational experience. THANK YOU.
