9. Lady Tremaine

Lady Tremaine is the main villain from Disney’s animated classic Cinderella. She is Cinderella’s stepmother. Even though, Lady Tremaine doesn’t harm Cinderella physically, she seeks to punish and abuse her psychologically. Being a very cold, bitter and ruthless character, she ranks number nine on my top nine Disney villains. This is because, Lady Tremaine primary role is simply to control Cinderella and shatter her dream of a happily ever after. Throughout the film, Lady Tremaine repeatedly tries to keep Cinderella as discouraged as possible and will stop at nothing to prevent her from being happy.

8. Hades

Hades is the main villain from Disney’s animated movie Hercules. Hades is a fast-talking, bad-tempered, untrustworthy, wicked god. In the movie, Hades wanted to overthrow his older brother Zeus and rule Mount Olympus for himself. But, the only way he could succeed this was to defeat his nephew, Hercules because if Hercules were to fight Hades, Hercules would win. Hades went out of his way to make sure Hercules would be defeated.  Hades repeatedly tries to defeat Hercules by sending numerous threats. He only does this because of his own selfish ways; this is why Hades landing number eight on my top nine Disney villains.

7. Gaston

Gaston is the main villain from Disney’s animated film Beauty and the Beast. Gaston is a handsome but extremely arrogant hunter who is considered to be a town hero. Gaston is uncultured and only cares about physical beauty. Still, all of the women in the town admire him and all the men want to be like him. Gaston tries to impress Belle, the main character from Beauty and the Beast, by flexing his biceps and talking about his healthy appetite. Gaston asks Belle to marry him because she is the only person in the village who as beautiful as he is. But, when Belle refuses to marry him, he is humiliated and vows to find a way to get her to marry him. He does everything in his will power to get Belle to agree to marry him, which includes kidnapping Belle’s father and sending him to an insane asylum. Because, Gaston is to full of himself, jealous, and heartless, Gaston ranks number seven on my top nine Disney villains.

6. Jafar

Landing number six on my top nine Disney villains, Jafar is the main villain from Disney’s animated movie Aladdin. Jafar is portrayed as an immoral psychopath who will not hesitate to destroy anyone he perceives as a threat to his own sinister designs. Like numerous clinically-diagnosed psychopaths, Jafar wears a metaphorical mask of normalcy throughout the film, establishing himself as a cool-headed schemer and gaining the trust of those around him. It is not until Jafar gains control of the Genie’s lamp that he fully shows his true colors, becoming arrogant and short-tempered with his subjects after assuming the power from the Sultan.

5. Ursula

Ursula is a villainess who first appeared in the Disney animated feature film, The Little Mermaid. She is a sea witch who “helps” unfortunate souls while achieving her own goals, the process. Ursula is a very dark and sinister villain with a sense of humor. Ursula is very manipulative and has a talent of making great sense and making persuasive points when trying to strike a deal. She is known to fill the heads of merpeople with trickery. She feeds Ariel with the lie, that men on the surface like silence in women. With this lie, Ariel agree to it and Ursula magically pulls the mermaid’s voice straight from her throat and place inside her necklace and then give Ariel legs so she can be with Prince Eric. But, because Ursula is sneaky, and sinister, she transforms herself into a beautiful human female with Ariel’s voice in order to sabotage the relationship of Ariel and Prince Eric. Because of what she does throughout the film, Ursula ranks number five on my top nine Disney villains.

4. The Queen

The Queen is a villainess in the animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first production by Walt Disney. The Queen is the stepmother of Snow White. She possessed dark powers and knowledge, including the ability to summon wind and lighting, and a magical mirror with which she could look upon whatever she wished. When she asked the magic mirror who was the fairest in the land and the mirror responded that Snow White was fairer than she was; she immediately recruited her huntsman to kill her in the woods. After she discovers that Snow White did not die, she disguised herself as an old woman and uses a poisoned apple in order to “kill” Snow White. Since, the Queen uses her dark powers and her selfish ways to kill Snow White, she lands number four on my top nine Disney villains.

3. Scar

Scar is the villain in the animated movie, The Lion King. Scar is the younger brother of Mufasa, the uncle of Simba, and second in line to the throne after Simba was born. Scar is jealous of Simba’s position as the next king of the Pride Lands, so he plots to kill his brother and his nephew, in order to seize the throne. Because, Scar only cares about himself and he is a murder, he ranks number 3 on my top nine Disney villains.

2. Shan-Yu

Shan- Yu is the villain in the animate film, Mulan. Shan-Yu is about the scariest villain of them all. He rarely ever speaks and is very sneaky. You never know where he is until he just pops out of nowhere. He has no sense of humor whatsoever. Normally, we see the villains in their hideout with a sidekick and a lot of humor. Not so much with this guy. We don’t know why he does what he does; we don’t know his motive. We only know that he is violent, ruthless, and determined. Because, Shan-Yu is creepy, violent, ruthless, and sneaky, he lands number 2 on my top nine Disney villains.

1. Turbo/King Candy

King Candy is the main villain of Disney’s animated feature film, Wreck-It-Ralph. King Candy was originally known as Turbo, a video game character from an old unplugged racing game called, Turbo Time. He was considered an extremely popular racer that loved the attention from players, but when a new racing game called, Road Blasters got plugged in, his popularity soon fell. He was on longer getting the attention he loved and he became very jealous.

Turbo abandoned his own game and decided to take over the new one; as a result, he ended up causing both the new game and his own, to become unplugged for good. His actions were nicknamed “Game-jumping” and “going Turbo”, which was something that the video game characters were encouraged not to do (as dying in a game that a character is not native to results in their permanent death).

Unbeknownst to anyone, Turbo actually somehow escaped his game before it was unplugged, and thus escaped termination. He remained inactive until years later, when he hijacked,Sugar Rush, and turned himself into King Candy, with the aid of Sour Bill. He then began to tamper with the game codes by trying to delete Princess Vanellope’s (the ruler of Sugar Rush) code, but instead this turned her into a glitch. With Vanellope now a glitch, King Candy was free to rule the candy kingdom.

Even worse, he locked up all of the memories the inhabitants had of Vanellope so that everyone also saw her as nothing more than a glitch, and believed he was the rightful ruler. Even though, Vanellope was the rightful ruler but no one knew it, expect Turbo. Unfortunately for Turbo, there were two flaws in his plot. In the first place, the game’s codes would be restored if Vanellope were to cross the finish line, hence Turbo’s desperation to keep her out of racing. In the second place, her picture was still on the side of the game console.

King Candy is incredibly weird and colorful. Throughout most of the film, he portrays himself as a bubbly, yet somewhat strict, ruler. As Turbo, he was said to have loved the spotlight, but the moment that was all taken away, the racer became demented, and he was determined to remain beloved, even if it meant ruining another game. While most of the film portrays him as wacky and fun, the king’s true colors are shown as time goes on. He is revealed to be a villainous mastermind, whose ambitions drive him into insanity. According to his minion, Sour Bill, he’ll do anything to get what he wants. Traits like these are what make King Candy a virus, what video game characters name dangerous threats that can spread and control.

Like most Disney villains, King Candy is incredibly power-hungry. One of King Candy’s most notable character traits is his random giggling that occurs between many of his sentences no matter what mood he’s in, whether in be ecstatic, enraged, surprised and so forth. But what it comes down to, is that King Candy is among Disney’s most depraved and evil villains, who is willing to do whatever he must to secure fame and power for himself, even if it means destroying games and killing. King Candy is the most devious manipulator. This is why King Candy/Turbo made the number one spot on my top nine Disney Villains.
