With the deadline quickly approaching, participants only have till February 15^th to enter to win HGTV’s 2013 Dream Home. Annually, HGTV holds a contest for viewers to win a destination house, cash prize, and car. This is the 17^th annual HGTV Dream Home sweepstakes. Previous locations include Park City Utah, Stowe Vermont, Sandia Park New Mexico, and various other desirable locations.

This year, the house is located on South Carolina’s Kiawah Island. Twenty minutes south of Charleston, the island is a great place to relax.  The ten-mile stretch of gorgeous beach is a major attraction. Along with many local businesses, the island has amazing bike trails and other nature-based attractions.

The house itself is enough to spark anyone’s interest in entering. Outdoor features of the house include a two-car garage, spacious deck, and swimming pool. Inside, the floor plan is designed so the house opens from an entry hall into the kitchen and dining room. Off the dining room the house has a great room with twenty-four foot high ceilings. On the second level, the house has two bedrooms and loft space that looks out towards the great room.

Before construction began on the house, the builders designated a location with spectacular views. The great room and loft look directly out on to the islands marshlands and the master suite and other rooms through out the house look upon the landscape and trees outside the property. According to HGTV.com, “Before construction began the design/build team determined which trees (including 60-foot-tall live oaks) and vegetation (palmettos) would be saved from demolition” maintaining the natural beauty outside the magnificent house.

National sponsors of the HGTV 2013 Dream Home helped bring the house to life. Sponsors such as Lumber Liquidators, Sherman Williams, Bounty, Bissell, Delta, Progressive, Vitamix, and Dish helped with the interior decoration of the house. Additionally, the entire house is furnished with Ethan Allen furnishing and decorations. This year the car that is given away in the sweepstakes is a 2013 GMC Acadia. GMC is another national sponsor of the Dream Home.

To enter the sweepstakes all entrees must be twenty-one years of age.  HGTV allows participants to enter twice a day up until the February 15^th deadline. Anyone can enter once at HGTV.com/DreamHome and at frontdoor.com. Good luck to all and may the odds be ever in your favor.
